Dr. Neda Seyedsadjadi, Research Scientist, University of Illinois Fire Service Institute
Dr. Neda Seyedsadjadi holds a PhD in physiology and pharmacology from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and completed her post-doctoral training at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. As a research scientist with the Illinois Fire Service Institute Research Team, she applies her expertise in human physiology and cancer-related biomarkers to investigate how occupational exposures may affect firefighter health through the Illinois Firefighters Cancer Risk Study (IFCRS). Through IFCRS, Neda integrates exposure data with biological and health measures to better understand how repeated exposures may influence firefighters over the course of their careers. Beyond her research, she enjoys creating nutritious, delicious foods, staying active, and maintaining a fitness-focused lifestyle.
