David Picone is CEO of the Health & Safety Leadership Alliance and a retired battalion chief and paramedic with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. He spent more than three decades in emergency services, including designing and implementing a comprehensive Health and Safety Office model that became a nationally referenced framework for integrated public safety workforce health. He founded the Health & Safety Leadership Alliance to expand that model across fire, law enforcement, and EMS.
